Provides quality pastoral care and support to patients, staff and families, as part of the hospital interdisciplinary treatment team. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to perform sensitive, cultural Pastoral/Spiritual Care in emergency situations. Actively participates in the Residency education as required by ACPE, and follows department policies and procedures. Provides support to staff in times of crisis events. On call response to all codes, traumas, deaths and other emergencies during the resident chaplain's on call. Answers and provides referrals for continued services to patients that require follow up care.
Actively participates in cultural education, process improvement and spiritual research as assigned by the supervisor and director.
One unit of CPE needed. Master of Divinity preferred.
