Staff Nurse IV

Delivers quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) to guide care delivery functions at the "expert" level of Benner Novice to Expert Continuum.

Executes, revises and evaluates the Vidant Nursing Professional Practice Model and Model of Care Delivery to support professional practice and collaborative partnerships with each other, physicians and members of the healthcare team.

Engages in professional growth and development, continuing competence and lifelong learning, quality care and research to positively affect empirical outcomes. Develops others in the profession.

Participates in a leadership role in community partnerships and collaborative initiatives such as professional organizations and community outreach programs.

Develops in and serves in a leadership role at the unit and/or organizational level.

Leads change at the unit level in partnership with unit leadership on quality and/or research initiatives to achieve outcomes.

Fulfills criteria spelled out in the Professional and Clinical Excellence pathway.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) Required.

Registered Nurse or temporary NC licensure or status as defined in job description.

Specialty Certification Required.

Clinical experience as part of education.

More than 4 years but less than 5 years of nursing experience required.

The Cardiac Connection Coordinator coordinates and facilitates all admission/bed requests from inpatient/outpatient/clinics/preadmits/regional referrals for CardioVascular services. Works collaboratively with Regional referring contacts, MD's, clinicians, Eastcare, all CV inpatient and outpatient units, Admissions, ED and Patient Care facilitators to accept, document specifics, arrange transfer/transport arrangements and process admission information.
